SbieCtrl.exe unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)

I am running Windows 7 SP1 64 bit and Chrome v44.0.2403.89 m. I am unable to run the Sandboxie Control and get the message: SbieCtrl.exe - The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). I had to keep running an earlier version of Sandboxie previously because of this, but can't do this any more as recent releases of Chrome are not compatible with it.

Can you please provide a SBIE dump file? Search your sandbox for dump files. All the latest versions of Chrome, FF etc are working with 4.20 and up.

The only possible relevant thing I could find in the Sandbox was this debug.log file in the Chrome\Application directory:

I just ran Win7 x64 in a VM running the latest Version 44.0.2403.89m of Chrome. No issues I can see. What happens with you right click on Chome and select "run sandboxed"?

What about IE? or FF? do the work?

Sorry, I should have made clear. I can run Chrome in the Sandbox and the relevant services appear to be running OK. It is running Sbiectrl.exe that generates the error message.

Something may have mixed up 32/64 versions of the CRT dlls. Uninstall Sbie and reinstall. If you still have the problem, delete these files by hand and then reinstall Sbie.
