GOG Galaxy Alpha Client 100% cpu - keeps spawning processes

Sandboxie v4.16 - Win 7 SP1 x64

GOG Galaxy is a gaming platform similar to Steam.

It's closed alpha but you can download here if you need to

'GalaxyCommunication.exe' is being open and closed over and over again, there's at least 10 copies running at a time.. causing 100% cpu usage

Confirmed. This is indeed what happens. Completely unusable.

Are you installing GOG Galaxy sandboxed or installing it outside and then running it sandboxed afterwards?

In Win10 Build 10158, and using SBIE 5 (all testing internally at this time) it seems to behave with very little processor usage.

On Windows 8.1.3 x64 + SBIE 4.20 the average CPU usage of SandboxieCrypto.exe is 0.05% for each program.

I can replicate the issue if I install the software directly to a sandbox and run from there. GOG Galaxy saves logs in the following location:

It may need to be recovered outside of SBIE then right click, run as sandboxed to work.

I have indeed installed it into the sandbox, with little interest in moving it outside. >_>
(I'm trying to keep my computer clean and sorted.)

Lemme check those logs...
...yeah, they mirror what RooJ has. Lots of access denied (5) errors looped.

Buster, I take issue with you comment about "feeling I'm not doing that..." Please be mindful of your tone and assumptions. :!:

Yes, I'm not here to make promises or work on a timeline of your expectations. My timeline is what the SBIE community as a whole desires and how best to go about fixing issue that may be the priority at that moment. One of my duties to to curate problems that need attention and assist the Devs. Prioritize those tasks, gather data, passed that to them. I'm here to keep a dialogue open & give updates when needed and continue ongoing troubleshooting (with the Forum community as a major contributor.)

As for Recreating issues and problem, Yes. I have VMs of XP-Win10 to test on..... Of course, that depends on the issue and severity on what resources we will use and what gets tested to recreate. Looking into and recreating these problems take considerable time and that has to be managed. I'm gathering what I can related to SBIE issues (errors, debugs, etc) pertaining to issues that other forum folks can't solve or have/share same experiences or quirks while also working with Curt and members of his team. If it's something I can try guide users to already solved (or similar issues) then I will. Issues like GOG will be looked into and prioritized as required, but no one can guarantee that any one problem will be solved adequately nor can we adhere to a strict time schedule that meets everyone's expectations. The goal is to do the best we can.
