Hello deepjb ,

Does the issue follow you to a new Sandbox with default settings (or have you cleared the contents of your Sandbox and re-tried? )
Can you provide more info regarding how are you reproducing the problem?

Does the clipboard work fine outside Sandboxie?
Are you using any clipboard managers?
Is there any security software involved?

If all fails, please try these steps:
Open Firefox outside Sandboxie
type about:config and accept the risk
search sandbox
Switch security.sandbox.content.level to 2 ( if needed switch it to 1 or 0 ).
Close Firefox
Relaunch it Sandboxed and re-test

Regards,
Barb.-

My default box is empty
Clipboard works outside sandboxie
Am not using managers
My only security is AVAST
Switching security.sandbox to 2-1-0 didnt work

PD. this problem is only on Sandboxed Firefox, copy and paste works from an unsandboxed source to sandboxed firefox but on the other way

Hello deepjb,

What are you copy-pasting exactly? Please provide exact repro steps so that I can test them.
If you are trying to drag-drop images, links or files from Sandboxed Firefox to explorer you'll need to use a Sandboxed explorer.
More info here:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4185

Can you please create a new Sandbox with default settings and see if the problem follows you there?
Also, please try a new Firefox profile for testing purposes.

Regards,
Barb.-

Hello deepjb ,

I cannot repro the issue. If you tell me where are you copying the text from (which application) I will test the exact steps you are following. I cannot re-create your scenario if you do not provide the repro steps.

This is what I tested so far:
I tried copying text from other browsers (non-sandboxed to Sandboxed Firefox and the other way around), as well as from notepad and office apps (non-sandboxed to Sandboxed Firefox and the other way around).
I also tried both using keyboard shortcuts (ctrl c/ v), and right-click copy/paste, and found no issues.

Can you copy-paste from a Sandboxed application to Sandboxed Firefox? (For example, open notepad in Sandboxie and try to copy-paste text to a sandboxed Firefox session).

I have found a similar issue in the forum:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24729
See if the steps listed there help you provide the info that we need to try to repro the problem.

If all fails, please provide the results of running resource access monitor from a new Sandbox with default settings, which may give us some additional info:
https://www.sandboxie.com/ResourceAccessMonitor

And provide a copy of your Sandboxie configuration file:
Configure--Edit Configuration
Copy/paste the contents here
Highlight the contents and click on the "</>" button for format them in the forums.

If possible, test the behavior without having your Antivirus software enabled to see if that makes a difference.

Regards,
Barb.-

Hello deepjb ,

I am not seeing anything specific/weird in your outputs. . You still haven't provided much info regarding the exact repro steps. I unfortunately cannot re-create the problem, I just re-tested using Win 7x64+ Avast + Sbie 5.23.5 + FF v58.0.1 and still no issues.

The theme issue is unrelated to this one, the topic I sent before had several steps for you to test (which may help). One of the questions regarding clipboard managers includes if you ever installed one in the past (sometimes they do not fully remove, and cause issues. Can't be sure without further details).

Since you said this worked for a bit after you reinstalled Sandboxie, can you let me know if it works again inside a new Sandbox with default settings? (Trying to see if it maybe works the first time, and then stops, or if there's a pattern).

Also, re-try with a new Sandbox and your AV software disabled ---> Any difference in behavior?

Can you copy-paste from a Sandboxed application to Sandboxed Firefox? (For example, open notepad/another browser in Sandboxie and try to copy-paste text to a sandboxed Firefox session).

Are all websites affected by this behavior? Or you are just copy-pasting in/out the web address section?

Are there any extensions installed?

Regards,
Barb.-

I cant send you more info, I mean, the problem i just that, I CANT COPY-PASTE TEXT INSIDE SANDBOXED FIREFOX THATS IT!, but I can paste text from any other sandboxed source to sandboxed firefox.

I havent used any clipboard manager ever. I did again the same steps I did before to make it work and the problem persist and with a new firefox profile

Hello deepjb,

A few more ideas for you:

For Sandboxie:
Go to configure --> Software Compatibility
Un-check one template at a time, hit okay [Start with ScreenReader and move your way down the ladder]
Configure--> Reload configuration
Delete the contents of your Sandbox and re-try the actions you were following to copy-paste
If no difference, please re-enable the templates to ensure proper software compatibility inside the sandbox.

For Firefox:
Try disabling multiprocess (outside Sandboxie)
viewtopic.php?p=130710#p130710
Then, create a new Sandbox with default settings and re-try.

For Windows (not sure if you tried disabling your Antivirus as suggested before, but if that didn't work, try this instead):
Remove your Antivirus software.
Reboot the computer.
Re-try the Sandboxed actions.

Let me know if any of those steps help alleviate the issue.

Regards,
Barb.-
