Sandboxed: Should I still use 'Process Guard'

Post by Unknown_User_407 » Fri Nov 10, 2006 2:20 am

I'm a constant reader at Gizmo's TechSupport Alert site, which lead me to Sandboxie in the first place. I already have so many security programs running: Firewall, Spyware, Malware, AntiVirus, AntiTrojan, and Sandboxie .... I'm reading about rootkits and Gizmo recommends a program called Process Guard as "the best active protection around for Rootkits."

If I already use Sandboxie, and it works as it should (keeping everything in a seperate environment), do I really still need another security program like Process Guard? Am I still vulnerable to possible Rootkit infection, even with the Sandboxie?

ProcessGuard is not quite what it once was. You should read the recent posts at the forum http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdis ... 1bdd8&f=13 and have a look at the (many) alternatives. Some sort of HIPS is necessary in days like these...
