Using SB 5.20 on Win 10 RS2 x64. I have Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 installed.
I'm trying to run the Turbotax installer sandboxed. Most of it runs fine, but when it tries to update itself, the program update fails and I get an error along the lines of "windows installer service could not be accessed".
Is this an issue that can be addressed in any way?

Re: Microsoft Installer error updating Turbotax in SBIE
Hello Sillefe,
I couldn't find a free version of TurboTax to test this behavior. But I did find an old, similar thread:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=12490&hilit=Turbotax+update
If the application is trying install a driver or a service inside the Sandbox, it will not work.
Can you try installing it outside Sandboxie, then launching it Sandboxed?
Regards,
Barb.-

Unfortunately, the issue wasn't about the running of the app, but to prevent the changes to the system during installation.
Thank you, however, for the explanation.
