SB 5.16 SBIE 2203 errors robotaskbaricon [SOLVED]

Post by howiem » Tue Jan 24, 2017 8:09 am

Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
SBIE 5.16
Roboform 8.2.8.8
Firedox 50.1.0
Security: MS Security Essentials
Error message: SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_00000001 - robotaskbaricon.exe [00000102]
Sometimes I get just one error message and sometimes the popup contains about 5-6 of them.
Once in a while I get this also:
err=41020897 ... str1= ... str2=DefaultBox \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Users
err=41020897 ... str1= ... str2=DefaultBox \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Users
err=41020897 ... str1= ... str2=DefaultBox \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Users
Roboform 8 behaves differently than past versions: I must log in to Roboform every time I open a new sandbox.
Searched the forum, but found nothing relevant to this specific problem.
I am unable to duplicate the problem. The SB error message box pops up from time to time - erratically it seems.
It does not seem to impact any work in progress, except that the popup blocks my view of work I am doing at the time, more of an annoyance.

The problem could have come from upgrading Roboform from version 8.2.8.6 to 8.2.8.8. Other than that, the only programs I remember installing before the issue started are Daum Pot Player 1.6.63891 and CrashPlan 4.8.0.331

Hi Barb,

Thank you. The problem seems to have stopped. The weird thing is that I already had that string in the same place, probably from when an earlier version of Roboform 8 would not load.

In fact I had to try Steve's fix twice. The first time I added the string and when I clicked Apply, SB deleted the duplicate entry. After I reset the configuration and reloaded the browser, I was still getting the SB2203 error, so I tried it again and now the error messages have stopped.
Thanks again.
