Don't know in which way this is even possible, but it would be nice to see sandboxie support drivers

yes, ofcourse :)

using that info to work with drivers creates a hole in the sandbox, i was more talking about realy sandboxing drivers too, for example
i have a webcam, i have yahoo, i don't want to install the cam realy just this once for use with yahoo...

so i run the webcam installer sandboxed, -> installs a sandboxed driver -> run yahoo sandboxed and have a videoconference.

when done i delete sandbox all crap is gone, yahoo changes, webcam install software, webcam drivers.

thats what i 'd like to see, not some hole to make it work anyway :p

Ah I see. I'm curious as to the answer as well. I'm just guessing, but I'll bet it won't work, which is the reason for the workaround. Probably the same reason Thinstall doesn't support drivers. I'm guessing they have to be loaded into the OS in such a way that sandboxing them is impossible. tzuk can explain better I'm sure.

Sandboxie can enforce its policies on applications, but not on drivers.
