Firefox crashes when updating add-ons

I am using SB 4.14 on Win 7.64 bit and I am not saying that sb is actually causing any issues. I noticed that recently each time I update FF (of course outside the sandbox) and then try to also update the add-ons (only no-script and ABP), FF crashes. I have not found anything on the Firefox board relating to trying to access add-ons via settings leads to the browser to crash. I don't see how sandboxie could be involved if the update is not happening inside a sandboxed browser but I am wondering if perhaps there is some interference / incompatibility that I am not aware of?
