can't find sbiedll.dll

Post by cnsbiefan » Tue Jan 19, 2010 4:41 pm

I have been used sbie for several years.
Recently, sbie can't start program for several times, has never been in the past.
The windows system pop-up window display:"can't find x:\xxx\sbiedll.dll, the program did not start", only start.exe start in sbie.
Then sbie can't start any program, pop-up window again, only reset windows xp can fix it.
After windows xp start several hours, sbie can't start any program again.

xpsp3
sbie 3.42 or 3.43.15
gmer 15281
firefox 3.5.7
opera 9.64

I do not use IE.

The windows system pop-up window display:"can't find x:\xxx\sbiedll.dll, the program did not start", only start.exe start in sbie.
----------
The pop-up window is after sbie starting a program (forced or not) sometimes.

没有找到 .dll,因此这个应用程序未能启动。重新安装应用程序可能会修复此问题。
Can't find .dll, so the application can't be started. Reinstall the application maybe fix the problem.

.dll is sbiedll.dll, the first pop-up window display ".dll", the second and subsequent display ":\Program Files\Sandboxie\sbiedll.dll"

And then sbie can't start any program, restart SbieCtrl.exe and SbieSvc.exe can't fix it, only restart xp can.

I would recommend checking your hard drive for errors:
Open My Computer > Right-click on the hard drive and choose Properties
On the Tools tab, "Error Checking" > Check Now.

Another possibility would be to download and run the free Malwarebytes.

Had same problem afer running this version of Gmer. Also some forced programs wouldn't open, such as my mail client Poco and Flashget. Ran Gmer just before I went to bed and all this started happening when I tried to use computer first thing in the morning,.
