Hi,
when I try to upload something in a Sandboxed browser and I change folders in the upload window, the browser crashes. Sometimes I get an error message from Sbie after the crash.
This has been happening with Sandboxed Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Vivaldi, also under Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 10 64-bit. Switching the upload folder in a Sandboxed browser's upload windows is strictly no-go. (If the browser is not Sandboxed, no problem.)

Re: Browser crash when switching upload folder
Hello bean224466,
What's your Sandboxie version?
Is there any antivirus software involved?
Are there any specific sites that are triggering the problem? Can you provide repro steps so that I can test it?
Regards,
Barb.-

Re: Browser crash when switching upload folder
Hi Barb,
My Sandboxie version is 5.22 (64-bit).
I have Avast Free running but this has also happened with Bitdefender Free.
I usually upload images to Facebook so I am not sure if it happens on other sites.
The crash happens often but not always. I have just tried to reproduce it but at this time I could not.
The typical scenario is: Try to upload a picture to Facebook. The upload window opens. Instead of clicking on a file name, change the directory. Crash.
Regards
Andras

Hello bean224466,
Does the issue follow you to a new Sandbox with default settings?
I also found an older thread that may be related:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=23674
See if the suggestion I posted there works for you.
Also, can you provide the crash dump ?
Regards,
Barb.-

Re: Browser crash when switching upload folder
I will give it a try but I am not optimistic because this is a new PC with everything reinstalled and the issue was present on my previous PC as well.Does the issue follow you to a new Sandbox with default settings?
Do you mean adding {53BD6B4E-3780-4693-AFC3-7161C2F3EE9C} ?See if the suggestion I posted there works for you.
Where can I find the crash dump?

Re: Browser crash when switching upload folder
Hello bean224466,
If the issue was occurring on your previous PC as well, see if disabling your Antivirus software makes a difference.
Are there any extensions involved in all browsers?
Does uploading files work fine if you try to do it outside Sandboxie?
Regarding Crash dumps, you can do a google search to find the crash dump locations. For example, if Firefox crashed:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Breakpad
