A thank you and a question

Post by clasof56 » Fri Aug 31, 2012 11:33 am

as a long time successful user of sandboxie i just wanted to say thanks for a tough, tight program that i use every day. a question on java. i get updates to java and everytime the update screws up my using streaming stock quotes. since i use sandboxie all the time, my question is: am i protected from java exploits if i am sandboxed? thanks

The java exploits can "execute arbitrary code on the underlying system", in your case the underlying system would be safely sandboxed by Sandboxie. So yes, you should be protected as far as containment, though your sandbox settings would determine what info a potential exploit could access of course.
