There was significant work dedicated to this Beta. Curt, Tom & the Team had a lot of challenges to overcome. It appears, as usual...their work has paid off.

Feedback from everyone is of the utmost importance. We can test (I can test), We run torture tests, but there is no way to replicate what our users may have, so we value the feedback, suggestions, tips and ideas.

Keep it coming. :P

Hi Craig

Good here. I actually forgot I'd updated. Very smooth

Norton Security must be removed. It is not compatible with SBIE.

Norton. It will need to be removed. We've seen serious compatibility issues with Norton. If you would like to use SBIE, it will have to be uninstalled.

The running Vivaldi's(both 32bit and 64bit) icon displays "blank" in a sandbox but not outside.
I've tried to empty thumbnail cache both in and out without taking effect.
It seems that previous 5.XX and 4. XX version SBIE also occurs. Platform: Win8.1 x64
bo.elam wrote: I don't believe Vivaldi is supported by Sandboxie or works under SBIE. I remember trying to test it installing it in a sandbox some months ago and the result was exactly what you said, a blank page gets displayed as the browser opens.

Can't say I've seen that. Icon displays correctly for me while sandboxed.
Vilvaldi, while it does work in SBIE, it's not routinely tested, nor one of the "core" browsers we support directly.
With that said, I haven't seen any issues with it thus far.

It's just recently become a Beta from a Technical preview. In the future, once a stable release...we may test it more, if it becomes more prevalent (say like Opera..)

Also, it's not recommended to test a Beta browser with another Beta program :)

Latest non-beta Bouncer (http://excubits.com/content/en/products_bouncer.html); no other security apps

Edit: seems to be intermittent
It may be related to Bouncer. A few months back, there was some weirdness when Bouncer was running. I'll poke around. Let me know if it persists, I see that it's intermittent at the moment. Which is good..and bad.
I uninstalled Bouncer in the past for a couple of days when troubleshooting Chrome's hanging downloads. The downloads hung anyway. I've seen the above Chrome error with 5.07.1 once after installing it the first time and rebooting. Had to reboot again to clear it. Other forced apps in separate dedicated sandboxes worked fine. Just the Chrome sandbox was affected. I repeated the install and reboot process about a dozen times (with the help of my offline imaging software) but have not seen the error again. I'll keep an eye on it.

Hmmm. Need to think about this (NSBU 641 days left). Firefox 42.0 x64 no problems but Firefox 42.0 x86 wont work with beta 5.07.1.

I can assure you FF 32/64 work just fine. The issue is in fact Norton. If Norton was removed, and the issue persisted (with data to show..) then that would be an entirely different issue.

Depending on the version of Norton (there are many, many flavors) that cause significant issues. However, Some...SOME report things work just fine. But we've made the determination that removing Norton alleviates that issue with SBIE.

There are many threads about it.....just a snippet of some below.
