Unable to run Explorer and Notepad sandboxed

Hi! I don't know if there are more programs, but after some (successful) testing, I've found two Windows programs that cannot be opened sandboxed: Explorer and Notepad. I receive an error 0xc00000e5. What does it mean and how can i fix it?

Well, those programs can indeed be opened in SBIE.

What Windows OS are you using?
What version of SBIE are you using?
What (if any) antivirus / anti-malware are you using? (Are you using Kaspersky?)
0xc00000e5 is a Windows error, usally with something amiss with Windows itself.

You already advised me of Comodo, and I've already set up Comodo with the proper exceptions. By the way, there is a 32 folder in Sandboxie directory, with an exe inside. I've added that file too. Is this correct?

Before doing the Comodo configuration, I couldn't run anything. Now I can run various programs sandboxed, but Explorer (crucial to me) and notepad don't run, with the error code reported.

You should add the 32 bit folder if you are running 32 version of SBIE. It appears that you're running 64 windows, so you don't have too..but it doesn't hurt if your did.

If you're still getting that error, especially with IE, then something isn't right with IE and/or Windows. How well does it work outside of the sandbox? This is specially something wrong with one or both of them. Either A/V has something going on (tool bar or an extension..) So if IE works outside of the sandbox, see what toolbars / extensions it has running. If so, remove them. Then try again.

Sorry but this is not an Internet Explorer case (IE), it's an Explorer case (C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.exe). I can't open a window with files, folders, copy, paste, etc... The same happens with Notepad.exe.

Example: Default Sandbox --> (Right click) Start in Sandboxie --> Run Explorer. I don't use Sandboxie in English, so the wordings may be not literally correct.

Obviously Explorer.exe runs perfectly in "normal mode" (not sandboxed). The same error occurs with notepad (sandboxed only, i can open it outside Sandbox).

I think you need to uninstall Comodo to get rid of the error. Read the thread below, at least the three reply's at the bottom.
