Ronen,
Trying to execute the "Run Sandboxed" action from the context menu and the installer for this particular program won't run. I tried it both before and after manually starting the installer service thru the SB ui.
I have seen this a few times recently with some installers under SB.
I can send you this particular installer if you need.
Thanks,
Mark.

well im not sure because you didnt post which installer your referring too, but my guess would be that it is most likely trying to install a service, which we all know isnt supported in SB (yet...) if thats the case, then yes it would fail installation, btw what installer are you referring too?

Not sure which one it uses offhand, but the install would still run and crap out if it were a svc issue - here, it doesn't even run....

Mark, I had no problem at all installing the software, so I went back to the original 2.80 just in case one of the post-2.80 fixes made a difference --
But no. It still installs fine. Are you trying this with a freshly deleted sandbox?

Strange, yes, a freshly deleted sb, and when I try to run it sboxed it starts for a sec then shuts down - no visible ui, but I see it starting and stopping in process explorer....
Stumped.

I just thought of something -- perhaps it's only a problem on Vista.

Could be - do you have a vista box to test it on by any chance?

No problem. I've been looking for an excuse to do it.

No doubt there are improvements, but I find it hard to be supportive of a system that works against me.
