Now that I have installed Sandboxie v 2.22, and it is running successfully on my XP machine, do I need the following programs I have been using hitherto, and if so, which ones?:

Spybot S&D
Adaware
SpywareBlaster
Microsoft AntiSpyware
Ewido
NAV 2005
Outpost Pro (fully stealthed)
Regwatcher

Spyware and Firewalls needed?

The Answer is simple:
As long as you only run a browser or any other app in the sandbox there is not really a need for Spybot, Spyware Blaster, (?Ewido) I dont know so I can not say its no longer needed :).
MS Antispyware is not bad and so I would leave it on the machine as it does not "eat bread :)".
Adaware is usefull since not only browsers go online :).
You should under NO CIRCUMSTANCE remove your firewall software:
Outpost Pro.
Antivirus : NAV 2005 (Norton Antivirus 2005) is still needed :)
although you might want to try Avast Antivirus Home Edition since NAV is also so well known that some attacks specificaly target NAV.
You can get Avast Antivirus Home Edition for free at http://www.avast.com/

from my past experience I can say "regwatcher" slows down system performance so you might want to get rid of that one :)

I hope this helps you a bit with your decition.

I still run many anti-spyware/anti-malware scanners (most for on-demand scanning only) because once you decide to keep any program that you download, how is Sandboxie supposed to protect you then? If you install anything outside of the sandbox you still need to scan it for possible malware. I look at Sandboxie as a great tool, but not an end-all solution against malware.
