One feature that I always wanted is to have templates when creating a new sandbox. I create a few new sandboxes a week to evaluate programs I might need in the future. Usually with refused access to the internet, cleared recovery paths, allowed IPC paths and other settings to access resources unsandboxed. Wouldn't it be handy to have a combobox with pre-defined sandboxes when you create a new sandbox for various scenarios? So you can choose which type of settings you'd need for a new sandbox. (Maybe right-clicking an existing sandbox and then choose "Use as template"?)
Another tweak I'd love to see is to have control over the time when Sandboxie kill lingering programs. I have a lingering program that optimizes & cleans up stuff created by the main program I regularly use in the sandbox. Sometimes the clean-up program needs longer to run, but Sandboxie kills it after 5 seconds or so when the leader program ends; which results in nasty errors on start-up by the main app.
Oh, and I just got a new idea: How about having an option for a blinking tray-icon when Sandboxie is set on "Disable Forced Programs"? Or some other visuals to indicate it's disabled.
Thank you for reading,. Sandboxie is just that program I always dreamed about. To completely dispose of applications from your computer when you don't need them anymore.
Templates and process kill time in linger progams
I know what you are saying about templates. But if the idea gets the ax (no idea one way or the other) I have one idea that might help.
Are you familiar with manually editing the config file? If so, you could get a sandbox the way you like it, then just go in and copy/paste the related lines several times. Rename them something like "MyTemplate1" "MyTemplate2". Then you can have exact "copies" of one sandbox "type". Make another type, and make copies of it ... so on. Not exactly what you want, but maybe meanwhile you could tweak this scenario a bit to your likeing.

Are you using Sandboxie 3.34? The tray icon does indicate when Disable Forced Programs is in effect.Mick Schtoppel wrote:... when Sandboxie is set on "Disable Forced Programs"? Or some other visuals to indicate it's disabled.
