I want to try a program. I right clicked on it and chose Run Sandboxed, and indicated that I wanted it to run in my Default Box. When I then clicked on the program, the User Account Control box came up indicating that Sandboxie Start wants to make changes to my computer. Does that mean that there will be changes made to my C: drive or will all changes be made in the Sandboxie folder. I had to disable Drop Rights in order to start the program.
Also, what are the advantages of Experimental Protection? I am running Win 7, 64 bit.
Thanks

The changes will be in the sandbox. Elevation prompt means the program will run with admin privileges, but still in the sandbox, as you used the Run Sandboxed command.
As for Experimental Protection, generally speaking, there is no reason to not enable it.

If everything runs in the Sandbox, what is the advantage of enabling drop-rights?

Is this security against a program affecting the computer outside the sandbox? Or is it security of a program loading private information inside of sandbox and then sending it to someone else on the internet?

It just means programs in the sandbox won't be able to get admin privileges.
What programs can do with admin privileges is beyond the scope of this discussion.
