Zhadum Folder

Post by Unknown_User_391 » Sun Jul 02, 2006 3:47 pm

What is the Zhadum folder do? Why that name[zdahum] ? It got HUGE before I uninstalled sandboxie. I had to uninstall because sandboxie wouldn't open firefox in the sandbox.

When a sandboxed program is trying to delete a folder, it is sometimes easier to move that folder (and everything it contains) out of way -- to Zhadum -- rather than spend time actually deleting. This is the purpose of Zhadum, to be a trash can. When you delete the sandbox, the contents of Zhadum should also be deleted.

Isn't Z'ha'dum a better name than Trashcan ?

I think "trashcan" is a better name than "Zhadum" because there are no questions about the name "Trashcan" ! ! ![/quote]

The next version of Sandboxie needs neither Zhadum nor any other kind of trashcan, so we can put this issue to rest now.
