I also have the problem that sandboxed applications don't play any sound (games, VLC player etc.). Without Sandboxie sound is fine. Hopefully it will be fixed with the next beta.
One exception: HTML5 videos like on YouTube have sound in sandboxed Firefox. Maybe interesting for your.

System: Windows 7 x64 and Sandboxie 5.01.9 x64

I wasn't able to reproduce the problem using Potplayer. Is it VIA sound card related? I have Realtek.

5.01.10 has been released (officially) and fixes a whole bunch of things. I think we are looking good for a final release of 5.02 next week.

Tested 5.01.10 and Skype is able to detect the audio devices again. Will let you know if I notice any new or other related problems along the line but for now good job and thanks! :D

Still no ETA for possible DX12 fix? GW2 and other sandboxed games still close randomly with no error or information.

Is there anyway it's going to be updated to make IMVU work with it again? I miss being able to use Sandboxie with that program.

There's still the minor issue of SBIE(beta) not properly installed thus requiring me to do a reinstall, or is that because I'm using the 32/64 bit installer. Haven't test VLC as I've uninstalled mine but with regards to Potplayer fix confirmed,... Thanks curt!

Hello,

Despite being very choppy when Sandboxed (I hope it will be fixed soon), Firefox works well the 5.01.10 on windows 10 with the double buffering disabled. The only big issue I'm having is when the Download Flash and Video extension is enabled, I get the bug described on the first post of this topic. If I disable this extension, Firefox start again. I'm 100% sure my profile isn't corrupted because I tried with a clean profile, with only this extension installed on Firefox, and I got the same issue.

As I type, running win 10 build 10525, FF 40.02 and SBIE 5.01 10 Looks good.

Fixes in 5.01.10
Sound problem with MPC-HC, Potplayer, et. al. is fixed. MPC-HC still puts up an initialization error dialog when starting. Just ignore this for now. The player works fine after that.

Installed 5.01.10 and confirmed that MPC-HC player now has audio but not after having to get rid of this error message each time I play my videos :

On clicking Yes, I was then shown this page :

Not sure if it should be SBIE or MPC-HC developers that should fix their softwares

Tried to download 5.01.01
but McAfee blocks the download because of a detection:

I've upgraded to 5.01.10 but uTorrents sidebar still (intermittently) is looking "corrupted". I thought this was due to the fonts issue and that this had been fixed in version 5.01.10?

We don't have any control over their algorithm, but if you have attempted to DL directly from our site, it should not be an issue.

Change log doesn't state the font issue was addressed in this release, and it wasn't. It will be in .11 to come shortly. This release mainly had to do with sound issues in media players.
