What exactly are you copying? Do you have enough space?
Example:
Message: SBIE2102 File is too large to copy into sandbox - path
Logged To: Popup Message Log.
Explanation:
This is an informational message.

Before a sandboxed program can make changes to a file that already exists in your computer, Sandboxie first must make a copy of this file in the sandbox.

This works very well for small files (up to a few megabytes in size), as the copy operation completes very quickly. But for larger files, the copy operation may take a noticeable length of time.

For example, suppose you created a backup for a DVD, in the form of a 4GB file. If a sandboxed program tries to access the file, Sandboxie would have to make a sandboxed copy of the 4 GB file. This would take several minutes to complete, and would cost 4 GB of disk space.

For this reason, Sandboxie will only make copies of files that are below a certain size threshold. Files larger than this size will be considered read-only inside the sandbox, and any attempt to modify them will result in message SBIE2102.

The message is just informational. You can hide it or you can turn it off in Sandboxie Control > Sandbox Settings > File Migration and tick the box.

There is nothing in 5.07.7 that is different from 5.07.8 that has to do with any of that actually....
Fixes in 5.07.8
1) Fixed rare Chrome 64 error SBIE2303 Could not hook VerifyCatalogFile (888)

I'm also experiencing an issue with Sandboxie 5.08 and Thunderbird. Don't believe it's the same as the OP's issue, however.

Installed a fresh copy of the latest Thunderbird 38.6.0 and set up a new sandbox named 'Email' for it, checking the 'Thunderbird' item in Applications>Email Reader settings, and adding 'Thunderbird.exe' to the Forced Programs list.

Upon launching Thunderbird Sandboxie throws the following error:

Code: Select all

SBIE2204 Cannot start sandboxed service RpcSs (-1)
And fails to display the Thunderbird window, requiring a forced termination of the sandboxed programs. What's wrong?

1st, what version of Windows?
I'd try Beta 5.07.7. The rcpss-1 is rare, but we are curious if that beta lessens it. It's usually triggered with a programs starting. Make sure the program is terminated in SBIE before restarting. . It also cannot be ruled out it's just something unique to that machine, this is why we would like to try 5.07.7. OPs post is not related to anything I can see.

Hi
thanks for reply. I made some more investigations . And look like found the issue. I not know why but it look like exist conflict between thunderbird autoupdate procedure and sandboxie in case when thunderbird installed on main but starting in sandboxie.
In a moment of update thunderbird in sandboxie something brakes. Stopping to work after sandboxie upgrade is just coincidence. Thunderbird and sandboxie upgraded in same day.
Now i know how to recreate issue. I think it have to be fixed because look like it will appear on any thunderbird update.
To recreate issue need to follow steps :
1) download any previous(because it happening in moment of update) version of thunderbird and install it out of sandbox.
2) start thunderbird in sandbox and configure any profile.
3) To avoid spending time waiting autoupdate we do in thunderbird Help -> About
After this step thunderbird will download updates .
4) We start thunderbird without sandbox to make upgrade .It successfully upgrades
5) Thunderbird in sandbox broken . After some minutes it always spam with SBIE2102 until you completely not delete contents of sandbox.
I successfully recreated issue on two computers.

From this thread? According to the changelog in that OP the version is 5.07.8. Where would I be able to download 5.07.7?

To fix your tissue, don't run Thunderbird's update in the sandbox. I am not familiar with TB but if you can set Thunderbird not to check for updates automatically, I think you should. And don't check manually for updates either, while running TB sandboxed. Do the updates and check for updates outside the sandbox seems to me as your solution. And thats really what we should do with all programs.

Also, if you do not set your sandbox to delete automatically when you close Thunderbird, delete it manually whenever you upgrade the mail program and before you run the new version of TB in the sandbox.

Actually, SBIE is doing what it's supposed to do. the most recent update to Tbird 38.6.0 has SBIE blocking a service that Mozilla is running (which is what isolation does). Thus, you get that error of tbird service in a loop. What is that service is? where looking into it. To get around it, we recommend running Tbird outside of SBIE (as admin if you can) manually do the update, then run tbird in the sandbox.

Sometimes people have the solution in front of their face and still cant see it. I don't like assuming anything and did not want to assume that you knew you found the solution, that's why I replied to your post attempting to help you. Like I said, I am not familiar with TB, I think its bad that the process of automatically updating TB can not be disabled. Hopefully, Invincea can figure out what to do next.
