Re: Affinity Photo
Hello henryg,
I started the download, it is showing 1 hour...make it 2 hours now. It is pretty slow.
If you want to provide the results of your Resource Access Monitor, we might be able to find something there (not sure).
https://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?Res ... essMonitor
Also, try installing the program on your host and run it Sandboxed.
I will post an update later if/when this finishes downloading.
Regards,
Barb.-

Re: Affinity Photo
It's now happening on my laptop when I exit Firefox. Different version of Windows (release preview 16232.1000) SB 5.20. Both installs were derived from the same ini, so I need to try a fresh ini setup. Weird but a PITA

henryg,
You will need to use the latest beta for Windows FR support:

Re: Affinity Photo
UPDATE:
I installed Affinity inside Sandboxie and received the error as soon as the installation finished.
However, I was able to launch the program without any issues (Windows 10 CU x64 stable) by navigating to the installation path inside Sandboxie.

Re: Affinity Photo
I stll can't even start the program (on 15063.483) whether from link of installation folder, and I have the latest beta. BTW I do not have the program installed outside of a sandbox.
Perhaps if you solve the error you see it will solve my problem too. And on my laptop.

Re: Affinity Photo
I have no idea why, but if I run Photo.exe as Administrator (right-click etc) it works normally - no error meassges including on close. Drop rights are not in use in the particular sandbox I use for this app. Any ideas why this might be?
The error messages are totally unhelpful, as they give no idea what object name is not found or what may be causing the problem.
PS Why are programs eg Firefox now giving these error messages on closing? Windows updates changed anything that the beta is still not coping with?

Re: Affinity Photo
Hello henryg,
Do you have any Antivirus/security software installed?
Try a new Sandbox with default settings and see if you are able to install and launch the program (on windows 10 stable). I am using an admin account to test, and I just re-installed it on another Sandbox without issues (minus the initial error message that can be closed).
You can also try it on your host to see if you can launch it normally, and then launch it Sandboxed.

My account is an admin account too. But Photo.exe still won't work without the program made to run as administrator.Barb@Invincea wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2017 11:38 amHello henryg,

No problem. It's a Sandboxie issue. You can also try it on your host to see if you can launch it normally, and then launch it Sandboxed.

I posted here as indentical error message, which suggested to me that they were the connected; and I believe you had the same or similar error on program close error too.
I stick to stable for now.

For various reasons, don't want it on my host. You can also try it on your host to see if you can launch it normally, and then launch it Sandboxed.
I posted here as indentical error message on both my systems (only one on Fast Ring), which suggested to me that they were the connected. Please post any Windows Fast Ring release issues in the Beta thread.

Re: Affinity Photo
Hello henryg,
Did you try these steps for AVG?:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=24536&start=15#p128578
I am not receiving any error messages when closing applications, using the latest Sandboxie Beta.
If you want to post your Sandboxie.ini I will have a look and try to re-create the Sandbox that is causing problems for you.
Try a new Sandbox with default settings to see if that helps.

Barb.-
