Please Help-How to configure email program

Post by danni » Sat Sep 29, 2012 11:44 pm

Hi - I have Gmail as my email program and have downloaded GmailDefaultMaker so can open gmail when clicking on an email link. This program works outside of sandboxie but when sandboxed I get the error message SBIE2212 that the program is not configured in sandboxie. I am running Sandboxie free 3.74 in IE 9 on Windows 7x64. I hope I have made it clear enough to get help.

Since the program opens a Compose window when clicking a link in the browser, does it also save a copy of that message to your local hard disk, or perhaps it may only save a copy at the Gmail site?

You need to know the .exe name that the program uses, and the folder location of any email copies (if any) that it might save to your local hard disk.
Can you provide these answers?

Hi Guest10 - Thank you for taking the time to reply. I am pretty sure it does not save messages onto the local hard disk. It just takes you to the sign in page and when you sign in, it opens at the compose page with the information added to the page. I have not used the program yet just checked if it worked. The exe file of the program is - GmailDefaultMaker.exe - and is in programs folder (x86). I have gone into sandboxie center/applications /folder to add it there but everything is greyed out and nothing in the drop down box.

Then try this setting for the sandbox:

Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Direct Access
"Add Program" button: GmailDefaultMaker.exe
"Edit/Add" button: %DefaultSpoolDirectory%\*

OK your way out.
