We had Chrome 37 working when we released 4.13.1. Now Chrome has broken us again. We are working on the problem and will post a new beta ASAP.

Will this beta contain the feature request I proposed to avoid a sandboxed application sees the real path when using the API?Curt@invincea wrote:We had Chrome 37 working when we released 4.13.1. Now Chrome has broken us again. We are working on the problem and will post a new beta ASAP.

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
Hello,
Still have a conflict with Avast [2014.9.0.2021] and this release with IE8 sandboxed under XP pro SP3.
Further investigations convicted me that the Avast Web Reputation plugin is the conflicting module:
IE8 automatically started "aswWrcIELoader32.exe" when the Avast Plugin is activated in IE8.
It is reported in the SB window of all running programs
SB reports the following errors:
Avast logfile shows:
But nothing more happened, IE8 hangs before displaying the toolbar...
When trying to close all the programs, it was impossible to terminate "aswWrcIELoader32.exe" (access denied), impossible to fully flush the sandbox content (RegHive) or delete the sandbox itself.
To finally succeed without restarting Windows, I've to first disable the Avast auto protection feature. Then it will be possible to terminate the Avast Loader and to fully clean the sandbox...
With Firefox [31.0] sandboxed and the same plugin enabled, it's running just fine.
This loader is never launched by Firefox...
So, it will be nice if somebody has a any good idea to keep Web Reputation enable within IE8 sandboxed...
Kind regards, Etienne

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
Time between beta versions is not being excessive?
Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
Precision:
Exactly the same conflict between Avast 2014 and SBIE was seen with release 4.12 (same errors).
Reason why I tried 4.13.1 after a full 4.12 uninstall (including parameters).
Parameters of 4.13.1 were kept by default and app registered with my personal license.
(Found a small other bug while doing that. DefaultBox not set when migrating on another disk, including desktop.ini in the main sandbox folder)

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
I have a couple of problems with Sandboxie 4.13.1:
* Google Chrome won't terminate in the sandbox when the browser is closed. It has to be terminated using 'Terminate All Programs'.
* Firefox crashes on certain sites. Uploading a photo to Photobucket will always do it. No problem when using Firefox to do this outside of the sandbox
I check here regularly to see if there has been an update that might make a difference but it has been a while now.

Disable the Avast plugin until we are able to determine the problem.Alpha01 wrote:Hello,

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
Curt, there has been other users reporting this issue in the past. Last year, I was able to reproduce the problem in W7 but not in XP. It can happen when a user clicks "Browse" to upload a file at a site like Photobucket or Virus total. I couldn't reproduce the issue if after clicking Browse, I uploaded the file from the desktop. But "if I navigated away from the desktop using File explorer to upload the file", then sometimes Firefox crashed. If Firefox crashed, there were no messages of any kind. It didn't happen all the time and not in every sandbox. But it could happen in fresh new sandboxes with default settings and it wasn't hard to reproduce. Something weird: I could never get it to happen in my oldest and mostly used sandbox (DefaultBox) which is my dedicated Firefox sandbox.mart wrote: * Firefox crashes on certain sites. In my personal case use I am not affected by this problem since in my W7 I always upload from the desktop. But for people that don't do that, this issue can be a headache. Mart, can you confirm if you don't experience the problem if after clicking Browse, you upload from the desktop. And only experience it if you navigate away using File explorer.

Re: 4.13 Beta Available (Latest Version 4.13.1)
I don't get that far Bo. Firefox freezes as soon as Photobucket's 'Choose photos and videos' button is clicked. Causes first the revolving blue circle that just stays there. Closing Firefox via the 'X' button brings up the 'Firefox is not responding' dialogue box. 'Cancel' has to be selected in this box and then the browser will close. Then this appears:bo.elam wrote:Mart, can you confirm if you don't experience the problem if after clicking Browse, you upload from the desktop. Close these to get Firefox working sandboxed again and resolve to remember to go to Photobucket using Firefox outside of the sandbox.
Using Windows 8.1 with all updates.
