it seems when i run regedit (sandboxed) from the started shell, the "shell" value is "x"
why does get set back to "x" every time i logon...? is it on purpose so explorer will start in browsermode?

i created a reg file with the shell=explorer setting, i import it using AutoExec...
doesn't work.

Sorry to hear that. I'm almost out of ideas. The last one is to leave the Shell value as is (don't put Start.exe there), instead use ForceProcess to do the same.

ForceProcess=Explorer.exe
OpenKeyPath=*Software*Microsoft*Winlogon*

it didn't work, then i thought, oh hey, maybe i should delete content first, so i booted in safemode, rebooted.
Now explorer doesnt even start sandboxed anymore (thru forceprocess), but instead normal.
when i then run explorer manualy it does get sandboxed and in shell mode, so i have 2 shells now
