i tried v4.20, 5.06 and now the latest 5.08 version on windows 10.... when i try to run something sandboxed nothing happens.

the sandbox folder is empty except for a 16kb RegHive file.

i had sandboxie runing 2 years on my win7 64 bit system and it was woking fine.

now nothing... :(

Yes, your additional data will help.
I can confirm that playing videos using Potplayer x64, Potplayer x86 and AIMP3 inside a sandbox are fine with no audio issues. 8)

Seems like MPC-HC is one of the media players that has this audio issues from 5.01.3 onwards.

eg: Are Known Issues with Firefox: only v5.01.1 issues or all v5.01.x
eg: Are Known Issues with Firefox: only Windows 10 or all Windows
If content under Known Issues with Windows 10 apply only to Windows 10. Please note.

Supporting the latest versions of IE, Firefox, Chrome (32/64).
IMVU will crash.
Metro apps (including Edge) are not supported.

Known issue with Firefox:
crashes randomly: work around - go to about:config and set viewmanager.do_doublebuffering to false.

IE may have an issue with certain ads that cause to the page to restore/reload -- an error page will show if the restores happen frequently.

Chrome works well - no issues so far

Hi All

I know Sandboxie is still in beta for Windows 10 but I can't run anything in a sandbox that I have tried so far. I am running Windows 10 Education N (fresh install) and Sandboxie 5.0.1.8. When I try to run or install something in a sandbox I get this error every time:

SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe

In the above example I was trying to run TreeSizeFree but if I try Firefox 40.0.2 I get the same error. Same goes for Notepad++. I have tried an uninstall and reinstall of Sandboxie but this didn't help. Windows 10 is fully patched as of today. I was using the default sandbox when testing.

Is there anything I can try? I do run BitDefender Free AV and as part of the testing I turned off Auto Scan and the Virus Shield but it didn't help. I also run Malwarebytes Anti-malware but disabling the real-time protection didn't help either.

I thought I could get *some* of my apps to run in Sandboxie on Windows 10 with the beta but so far haven't had any luck...

I would remove the A/V programs first, not just disabling parts and see if that works. Are these programs being INSTALLED in the SB or just "run as?"

IE may have an issue with certain ads that cause to the page to restore/reload -- an error page will show if the restores happen frequently. (Have't had reports of this, Edge..yes we have.

Chrome works well - no issues so far

Good thinking! I uninstalled Bitdefender Free AV and I am now able to run Firefox and Notepad++. Treesize Free doesn't run but I was just trying it for the sake of it.

So how do I get Sandboxie to run with Bitdefender Free AV on Windows 10?

When I have been testing I have been running Firefox and Notepad++ in a Sandbox (so it is locally installed on the host already).

I did notice another issue, I tried to install Tox in the Sandbox and it installed ok but when I ran it the menus didn't display correctly:

Image

This image shows how it looks on Win10 (top) and 8.1 (bottom).

Anything I can do for Tox and to get Sandboxie to work with Bitdefender Free AV?

Thanks!!

Nothing at this time. Some A/V programs simply will not work. There is a limited number listed here that do. http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... us#p112088

Ah, so "SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe" in SBIE >=5.01.7 issue is caused my Bitdefender. Does anyone use ESET SS 9 on Windows 10? Maybe it is not (yet) broken. Couple updates later we will end up with no AV running and with more vulnerabilities being posted

Hello,
I get the same error as paulderdash. The installer hangs on the LICENSE.TXT. I tried several things but they did not solve the problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have the same issue with the installer. It gets stuck at the LICENSE.TXT all the time. I deactivated my anti-virus porgramm but this does not work. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
