Forgot to mention the codec issue with regards to Potplayer, it works fine outside the sandbox.Craig@Invincea wrote:Alright. I'll see if I can break it tomorrow. In testing we saw no issues. Of course, that's a clean Win install w/ the basics.Nix wrote:@Craig,

So on a whim I did a virgin install of Windows 7 x86 - Skype detects devices, no problem.
Then I did a virgin install of Windows 7 x64 - Skype showed the problem once again.
As a virgin install of Win 7 x64 with skype produces the same issue I can only assume that you should be able to see these results using a fresh Win 7 x64 VM install as well and then perhaps finally track down the problem.
Like I said before, the sound still 'works' despite Skype seemingly being unable to detect the devices, but according to the person on the other end, the sound is choppy. My side, eg speakers doesn't seem to show this issue but if you haven't already found the root source, this seems to be a decent way to start tracking it down as your media player tests weren't reproducing the issues some of us are facing with 5.01.3+

Any antivirus running? Did you do a clean install of SBIE after the upgrade?Peter2150 wrote:Upgraded my win 10 system to Insider build 10525, and installed SBIE 5.01.09. No Soap All I get is an error 2203 and it's all over.

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.9)
I posted earlier that I was not able to get Sandboxie version 5.01.07/08/09 working in Win7 x64 w/FF40.02 and Bitdefender. I checked all of my addons in FF(as was suggested) and I use NoScript and a Logitech mouse but they checked out OK. However, my problem was with Bitdefender Antivius Plus 2015. I had to go to exclude processes and exclude these files: sandboxierpcss.exe, sandboxiecomlaunch.exe, start.exe, sbiectrl.exe, and sbiesvc, exe in the Program Files folder under Sandboxie to get everything working again. I have run Bitdefender for over a year without any problems up until now. My problems are fixed for now. Hope this might help someone.

Just tested the 09 version in Win10x64 and noticed Slack is not working anymore. I just get a message "SBIE2224 Sandboxed program has crashed: SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe".

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.9)
Hello, since I started testing Sandboxie 5 (from 5.01.3), I have never been able to get Chrome to launch Sandboxed with Kaspersky Anti Virus 2016.
Is there any workaround for me I can use ? (Perhaps enabling direct access to some Kaspersky files ?)
Info:
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit RTM Build 10240 (fully updated)
nVidia Quadro K2000M (Driver: 353.82 - installed from nvidia's website)
Intel 4000 Graphics (Driver: 10.18.10.4252 - installed by windows from windows update)
32 GB RAM
Lenovo W530 Laptop
Sandboxie 5.01.9 64-bit (tested with all versions since 5.01.3).
When I launch chrome I get a flood of message in log:
SBIE2205 Service not implemented: Win32Init.6 (000000AA)
repeating many times.
The chrome processes seem to be active but no UI is shown, and I can't stop the error messages until I have to terminate all sandboxed processes.
Attached the resource access log.
Is there any accessible way for me to collect any diagnostic info to help the development process ? Or is the resource access log enough ?
I know it is probably Kaspersky, but since this is a popular AV used by many users, I think it may affect many people.

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.9)
Thank you, excluding those processes did the trick. I never had to add those processes in any AV software I used. So it's rather workaround, not really the solution. Such exclusions are recommended when two AV software are used like real time one and on demand like Malwarebytes free (adding Malwarebytes processes on exclusions in other AV and vice versa). I hope someone will look into this in the future rather than waiting 'maybe it will be fixed by itself'.jasper3357 wrote:I posted earlier that I was not able to get Sandboxie version 5.01.07/08/09 working in Win7 x64 w/FF40.02 and Bitdefender. Please start VLC sandboxed, open the messages window (Tools > Messages), play a video file and then post the messages. Maybe some error messages can give the developers a hint.Nix wrote:Still no audio in VLC...

@sphinx8911
As mentioned previously KIS is not supported in v5 http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=21539, just need to wait a little longer.

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.9)
unfortunatley the issue with comodo firewall still does not allow me to use sandboxie with windows10.Fixes in 5.01.9
1) Windows 10 token handling has been fixed. IE->View Downloads now works. This may fix other applications as well.

No I didn't do a clean install of SBIE, I can try it. And yes I have latest Emsisoft EIS running.Craig@Invincea wrote:Any antivirus running?
