Hi forum. I am in the process of reformatting and updating my old Vista laptop to use as a spare. Sandboxie is a must have for me, so I want to check if the latest version of Sandboxie plays nicely with Bitdefender Free Antivirus?
I noticed Bitdefender is listed as a known conflict, but wondering if this is still a current issue, and if it is, does it apply to the free version as well as the paid antivirus? I'm reluctant to put a paid AV on this old laptop, since it's not going to be used much, and have heard from various people that Bitdefender free is the best of the freebies out there at the moment. I see there is a workaround but the workaround will basically kill the heuristics in Bitdender, which I'm not too keen to do...
Thanks.

Re: Bitdefender Free AV with Sandboxie - any issues?
Why AV while they give away thousands of keys for Internet Security and Total Security
I have IS. The only one problem I had was broken sandboxie control - completely unreadable GUI. It was very rare and seems to be fixed 'by itself' with newer version of Sandboxie OR Bitdefender. I have wallet disabled. URL Search advisor also - this one doesn't work in sandbox anyway.
So I don't have any major issues, however keep in mind IS is a little bit different
