although there is an option to "recover files", what i would like to see, but i suppose this has to do with how one uses sandboxie, is to make all changes done in the sandbox (including the registery!) become real.
i for one, use sandboxie mainly to determine if some software is safe by my standards.
when i decide its ok, instead of deleting all the sandbox and reinstalling whatever it was i had installed, why not "apply changes done in sandbox to real world..." ?
(please note, i dont want just to copy some files from the sandbox, i want the changes done in the registery too)
something better than "Just recover files"

yeah i wouldnt use it either, also it would also make SBie too exploitible imo, all a trojan would have to do is call that command that would "make all changes done in the sandbox become real", also what happens if you have installed for e.g 3 or 4 programs, and you just want to "make real" the changes done by one program, well the amount of work you would have to go through would be equal to that of what you would go through using the "Recover Files" option, so in theory it sounds ok, but in reality it wouldnt work real great, as a matter of fact, all tzuk would really need to do is tweak the "recover files" option to include registry entries, and then you would have what you are looking for.
got a point there, as applications are able to interact with buttons and stuff...SnDPhoenix wrote:yeah i wouldnt use it either, also it would also make SBie too exploitible imo, all a trojan would have to do is call that command that would "make all changes done in the sandbox become real", also what happens if you have installed for e.g 3 or 4 programs, and you just want to "make real" the changes done by one program, well the amount of work you would have to go through would be equal to that of what you would go through using the "Recover Files" option, so in theory it sounds ok, but in reality it wouldnt work real great, as a matter of fact, all tzuk would really need to do is tweak the "recover files" option to include registry entries, and then you would have what you are looking for.

This has been suggested and discussed before. If you're curious, search the forum for the old discussion. Bottom line is this: It makes more sense for you to spend a little more time re-installing that one program you like, than for me to spend forever tweaking Sandboxie to be able to flawlessly recover installations in general.
