Problem right after reboot

Any ideas why I keep seeing this right after my system starts up from a reboot, even though this same sandbox was fully emptied (no red dots showing) just prior to my shutting down the computer?

In other words, the default box becomes active and, of course, the SBIE icon in the system tray shows the red dots.

Details:
OS is Win 7 Home
AV is Panda Free
SBIE version is 5.12
This started after I upgraded from version 3.76 a few days ago. I did a clean install (i.e. I emptied all sandboxes, uninstalled 3.76 using SBIE's own utility, and installed 5.12).
I have uninstalled and reinstalled version 5.12 twice now, with the same results.

My first guess would be something like Internet Explorer set as forced and being launched at startup by some piece of software. Might want to try ProcMon and set it to log at boot then reboot and save the log after opening it again to see what was started in the box.
