Just wondering how deleted files are handled. If I delete a file within the sandbox, it still exists if you explore the sandbox. What marker, if any, is used to mark deleted files?
The reason I ask is because I'd like to keep a sandbox around for particular applications, but they tend to create a lot of temporary files. After a while, the sandbox is filled with deleted, but still present, files.
Thanks.

The file creation date is changed to a special magic number for deleted files. In a file properties dialogs, it shows Friday, May 23, 1986, 15:47:02.

Say, can an option be made to delete those deleted files on close of sandbox? Kinda like AutoDelete, but only for deleted files.
Thanks.

In thinking more about it, I'd want to only cleanup deleted files that only created within the sandbox. Deleted files copied from outside the sandbox would be left alone.

I thought your first request is far too specialized for me to consider at this time. But the second one is really going over the top.
But it's probably going to be fairly easy to create a batch file (or Python script) to delete these files from the sandbox.

I'd be happy to create a batch file if there was a way to run it on close of the sandbox, kinda like the opposite of AutoExec.

Check out
SecureDeleteSandbox.
You can set your batch file as the delete-sandbox program, and then turn on AutoDelete for that sandbox.
But note that delete sandbox first renames the sandbox to a silly name, so your script is going to have to rename it back.
