File is too large

Post by Unknown_User_369 » Mon May 22, 2006 10:05 am

When trying to open a large video file, I got the message 'File is too large to copy into the sandbox'.
But the video was already being shown.
Am I right in thinking that I was not protected?

Regards,
Bill

You were still protected, and you can safely ignore these informational messages.

Sandboxie was just informing you that an application has tried to modify a file, but was denied access.

Normally modifying a file causes Sandboxie to copy the file into the sandbox, and make the modifications there. But for very large files (that are over some configurable limit), the modification is simply denied.

Thanks for that reassurance. :)
