Firefox v2.0.0.3 under Sandboxie issue

Post by Unknown_User_723 » Mon Apr 09, 2007 9:42 pm

I run Firefix v2.0.0.3 outside Sandboxie and within Sandboxie. When I run Firefox v2.0.0.3 inside Sandboxie Firefox starts to download Firefox v2.0.0.2. This does not happen outside of Sandboxie. I have uninstalled Sandboxie (v2.64) and load v2.85. This did not help. If I let Firefox load v2.0.0.2 I can then delete the contents of Sandboxie and start Firefox again inside Sandboxie and it is again at v2.0.0.3. After some time (days) it will then go thru this download again. Is this a Firefox issue or is there something in Sandboxie that I can do to prevent this.

Any chance you're using a non-Administrator account?

Tzuk, I think I have this fixed. I had to uninstall Sandboxie and FireFox. Then clean up the files/folders for both as the uninstalls leave remnants. Then I deleted remnants from the registry for both. Then loaded FireFox and then loaded Sandboxie. Now when I run FireFox under Sandboxie I do not get the immediate FireFox update attempting to load a prior version of FireFox. Will et you know if anything changes.

Thanks. Great product.

The removal of Sandboxie and Firefox and then reloading Firefox and then Sandboxie (along with cleaning up the left over files/folders & registry entries) appears to have corrected this issue.
