Please no heart feelings for this post. But I would like to know if the new sandboxie version solved the faillure "user data is accessible to sandboxed processes." posted at the Gizmo's site ?
at the Gizmo's Top Picks http://www.techsupportalert.com/securit ... zation.htm He commented and concluded that:
"SandBoxie too performed well and only failed in one test; user data is accessible to sandboxed processes. But SandBoxie has a most attractive feature: it's the only free product of the four. More accurately, it's donationware. It's also the smallest; a tiny 242KB.
SandBoxie too performed well and only failed in one test; user data is accessible to sandboxed processes." Best Regards.

Grrr, i know he said that, but its not actually a problem, see thats actually normal, like ive said before, the point of sbie isnt to keep your personal data hidden from dangerous software, it is to allow you the freedom to do whatever you want without having to fear your pc getting infected, so why would it block access to certain folders, basically if you can access a folder outside sandboxie, then you can access it inside of sandboxie, now if you have personal folders you would like to hide from sandboxed processes, you can use the closed file path setting (http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ClosedFilePath) to "close" certain files and folders from sandboxed processes, a setting that was available even back when Gizmo reviewed Sandboxie (i think?)
Windows 7 SP1 x64, Sandboxie v3.70 x64 with Experimental Protection, GnuPG, OTR (Off-The-Record), Sticky Password, My Brain.
