Windows Mail: Needs full access mailbox files (RESOLVED)
Tzuk...With the latest update I can now send/receive email in Windows Mail just fine. However, I also would like to be able to give Windows Mail full access to mailbox files (like is optional for outlook and outlook express).
Is there a way to change the ini file to give Windows Mail full access?

Yes, i just tried this solution, and unfortunately, no, it didnt work.
But the good news, is because of the good guy i am, i went ahead and decided to try and figure out the correct lines, and i figured it out!
Just add these lines into your ini file:
That should allow you full access just fine.

Just add these lines into your ini file:
Code: Select all
OpenFilePath=WinMail.exe,%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail
OpenFilePath=WinMail.exe,*.eml
OpenKeyPath=WinMail.exe,HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail

No you dont need to readd them, you can install a new version as many times as you want and it will still retain all your settings in the ini file.safetynut wrote: PS...When I download a new version of Sanboxie and install over the old, will I need to edit the ini file with the entires for Windows Mail or will they stay?
