I use Windows 8 (Version 6.3 Build 9600) 64 bit, Sandboxie V5.06 64 bit and Firefox V42.0.
Within Sandboxie, I started the update process of Firefox out of Firefox. But now this process run in a loop.
Firefox tells me to restart Firefox to complete the update process. If I do that Firefox tells me in a message box (I'm translating into English) "Update could not be installed. Please take care that no further process of Firefox runs on this computer. Please try again".
But there is no further process of Firefox active at that moment.
How can I remove Firefox within Sandboxie and install it again?
Kind regards
JArthur

Re: Firefox update runs in a loop
Delete the contents of your sandbox, as this is all temp storage and nothing is written to your host. This is how you delete anything and everything.
While it is possible to update FF outside of a sandbox, it's best to update FF OUTSIDE of the sandbox for the very reason that a SB is temp storage.

Great. Glad it did. Normally, you can do it in a SB, but there are times it won't depending on the update.JArthur wrote:Has worked well!!!
