I added a PHP script to the site so the download-link changed.

Get the portable version here

It's ok, don't worry about this wraithdu.

as 2.2.2.1 is only for 3.02.25+, you should try 2.2.1.4 .. don't know if it's compatible to sbie 2.86, I joined the club with 3.02 stable.

Yeah, sorry, I picked this up in the 2.9x beta series so I'm not sure how 2.86 worked. There's no reason not to use the latest stable version 3.02, if you don't want to try out the experimentals. The 3.x series is more secure than 2.86.

Read here that 3.02 slows down things a bit and v2.86 is faster.
Any chance to make 2.2.1.4 compatible with the last stable 2 series version 86 compile ?

Sorry, but no. In fact I'm only keeping 2.2.1.4 around until the new GUI hits a stable version.

*** Updated version.

This is an important update to address compatibility with new Sandboxie behavior.

a small sugestion
to check if sandboxie is alredy installed instead of checking the path 'c:\program files\sandboxie' check if the this reg key exist HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Sandboxie
if exists sbie is installed if not it isn't

I don't think that's the way wraithdu coded that anyway.. when I tried the portable on my machine with a local install, the launcher checked if the driver was installed and shut down when it found it... and my Sandboxie isn't installed to the folder you mentioned as my system drive is d: ;)

Actually (turns out) I did. The folder location was my first thought, but too unreliable to be the only check. The reg location was another idea, but I think that might be different on Vista, not sure. I ended up checking the installation of the service and driver. If either one is found installed, note that doesn't necessarily mean it has to be running, the launcher will abort.

Create the folder C:\program files\sandboxie on a comp. wthout sbie and run sandboxieportable.exe and see what happends. It refuses to start because the folder exist(no matter the folder is empty or not)
