Anti-Virus & Sandboxie

I'm not really sure how your program is set up. I'm sure that you've tested it in all situations and there are no known holes.

My Question is, If I should find something that can get out of the Sandbox would my Anti-virus still protect me? Can't remember where I have seen it but I've heard that sandboxie does something that can make things with bed intent slip past your active anti-virus......

Could you write a little about this either denying it or confirming it. thanks
