Hi,

I'm on Windows 7 and want to try out Windows 10.
Is it possible to install my w10.iso (usb) within the sandbox, so it will (only) run in Sandboxie?

Thanks

2. You can install a lot of type of programs in the sandbox but some wont work. So, you have to try them. If a program is very complicated, installs drivers for example, then, installing the program in the sandbox wont work.

So does this mean installing and running Windows 10 from within Sandboxie won't work either??

No, you can't install a full operating system into a sandbox. Sandboxie is not a virtual machine! If you want to try out Windows 10 you should use one of the free virtual machines.

If you want to check out Win10 without committing to it, you can install it in a virtual machine using VirtualBox. Here's a tutorial: https://www.extremetech.com/computing/1 ... al-machine

Or you can create a backup image of windows 7 with Aomei backupper (Freeware) and then install Win 10 to see if you like it. Personally, I didn't care for it at all because it's missing stuff I like in Win 7. So I reverted back. Win 10 gives you time to see if you want to keep it or revert back to Win 7. I suggested creating an image of Win 7 because things can go wrong if you decide to roll back.
