All,

UPDATE:
I was able to reproduce this issue using MalwareBytes.
Can you confirm that you have it installed along with McAfee?

I am trying to repro the issue, but using McAfee Trial does not seem to trigger it.
Can I get the exact version that you are running?

Thank you!
Barb.-

All:

For better or for worse, I uninstalled McAfee and installed Kaspersky Internet Security. I still have Malwarebytes installed (3.1.2), and Chrome runs like a dream. I can sandbox it, and Firefox without issue.

No problems here with MWB 3.1.2.1733.
I can't recall the build of McAfee I was using when I had the issue -- it was factory installed.

All,

We are still looking into it. It occurs when both McAfee and MWBs are installed and running at the same time.
For the time being, keeping one or the other will prevent the BSOD.

We will update this thread when new information becomes available.

BSOD 0x00000018 - Reference by Pointer when 'Run Sandboxed' - Solution

Post by Trm2 » Sat Aug 19, 2017 11:37 am

For anyone experiencing this problem I have the solution IF you are running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Turn off Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Ransomeware Protection (right click on Icon in task tray and turn it off from there).

I hope this helps.

Lovely, works like a dream. Just had to disable the anti-ransomware code in MalwareBytes. The computer is backed up constantly anyways so not too worried about that. Thanks so much!
