Bugs with Sandboxie using PocoMail

Post by noway » Mon Aug 18, 2008 5:24 pm

1. Starting with v3.29.07, my mail program (PocoMail) no longer displays the sandboxed indicators ([#] [#]) in the windows title bar. Poco is still running sandboxed ok when started as a Forced Program from the desktop icon. Versions 3.28 and 3.29.05 did not exhibit this "missing indicators" problem.

2. v3.28 and probably earlier-3.29.22 inclusive: If I go to the Program Files folder and right click on the poco.exe icon and select Run Sandboxed, it doesn't start. Instead I get a Sandboxie Start message as follows:

Could not invoke program:
"C:\Program Files\PocoMail4\Poco.exe"
System Error Code:
Access is denied
(5)

...and at the same time Messages from Sandboxie:
SBIE2212 E mail reader 'Poco.exe' is not configured to run sandboxed

This is the case even when I have granted Direct Access File Access to %AppData%\PocoMail\ (this is where my Poco settings and mail folders are located). I even tried giving Direct Access File Access to the folder C:\Program Files\PocoMail4\ and Direct Access Registry Access to poco.exe....nothing seems to fix this "right click" Run Sandboxed problem. I can right click and Run Sandboxed all other executables on the computer except Poco. Not a huge problem since Poco still starts sandboxed ok when double-clicking on the icon or shortcut, albeit without the title bar sandboxed indicators ([#] [#])

The missing [#]'s should be back in version 3.29.23.
