hi guys.
since now i was able to upload to virustotal files downloaded in a sandbox without requests from "explorer.exe" to access internet. i enabled the browser and VT to access internet.
now i want to check with VT the file of "w 8.1 upgrade assistant"(on a pc with Wxp) and SBIE infom me that explorer.exe want to access internet.
if i do the same on a pc with w10 it doesn't happen.
what could be that explorer.exe?a virus?
thank you

Re: explorer.exe wants to access internet?! why? who?
Is it SBIE that's saying that? Or Norton? That's something SBIE wouldn't do. If so, they look like this. http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?Mess ... mSandboxieDirk41 wrote:hi guys.

If you got the upgrade assistant from here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... online-faq it's legit
Explorer.exe is a browser, so it would need access to the internet. Different OS prompt different messages, but not from SBIE.
Re: explorer.exe wants to access internet?! why? who?

yes i took it from that webpage.
as far as i knew iexplorer.exe is a browser that want to access internet, not explorer.exe that should be browse through folders.
anyway thank you: different os = different response
