sorry for posting this so loudly, but:))
nowhere among the stated prerequisites/requirements to
run/install sandboxie is it explicitly stated that sandboxie
needs an NTFS partition to run.
(...e.g. : does it need to use NTFS-streams to run)
i'm considering a clean install of winXPpro - to try sandboxie
out, but would prefer to put the system partition on FAT32.
i would suggest that you place the info on the appropriate
page(s).
does sandboxie need NTFS ?
Just so you know, you don't have to prepare a complete clean system. Sandboxie is not malware..i'm considering a clean install of winXPpro - to try sandboxie
Because Sandboxie doesn't require NTFS and should work just as well with FAT filesystems. (I would qualify that by saying it's been a long time since I tested that, but I did have to add support for FAT back then, and I did.)it explicitly stated that sandboxie needs an NTFS partition to run.
As for saying this explictly, the FAQs and such also don't say Sandboxie can work on desktop as well as laptop computers, and it does on both, if you see my point.

sorry again, tzuk - i didnot want to make any points by asking the question)
on the web today, it is nearly allways taken for granted that when one
mentions winXP one implies the MFT and not FAT system. rarely, one comes
across specs quoting both winXP-pro and winXP-home as qualifiers - taken
that XP-home uses FAT.
i wouldn't be here if i suspected sandboxie having malware components ;
i want to start with a clean system so i'm sure there's nothing already on it
that could compromise the expected security.
