Are you installing the program in a Sandbox? You may want to install/open it on your host then "run as sandboxed.""

What is the program?

The program is Delphi XE4
Crash happened when I am tried to open my project file
I insalled Delphi XE4 in SandBox and it worked for Win8.1
After that I upgrade my OS to Win10 and I am now using build 10565
To run Delphi XE4 I use command:
"C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Start.exe" /box:prog /silent /nosbiectrl s:\batfiles\delphi.bat
Delphi.bat content:
cd "s:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\11.0\bin\"
start "" "s:\Program Files (x86)\Embarcadero\RAD Studio\11.0\bin\bds.exe" -pDelphi
As you can see crash happens inside SbIEDLL.dll

Despite the claims of the developer, I too had sound issues in every sandbox I have. (Win10, 64bit, 5.06) Specifically, NO sound.
Of those, apps, some allowed me to configure sounds, and of those, they all reported NO sound device.

So, On a whim, I created a new sandbox called "SteamV2" or something.
I copied the entire contents of "Steam" to "SteamV2".
I then deleted the old "Steam".

Sound in every app works now, and the hardware is available.

I wish we could rename populated sandboxes. :/

I installed flash 19.0.0.245 and ran firefox with sandboxie 5.05.2(x64). It all started fine but when I closed the browser the computer completely froze. Firefox being the only program running in the sandboxie and considering the earlier bluescreens related to the previous version of sandboxie I can only assume the new flash casues new issues in sandboxie. <edit> Windows 7 and firefox 42.0. I updated to 5.05 a while back because I was getting bluescreens due to the "new" flash back then. It worked until now at least.

Make sure you are using SBIE v5.06. Issues were addressed in subsequent releases.

This happens when you copy a sandbox from 1 computer to another (or, what's likely in your case, when you upgraded to 10)

Just delete the "reghive" file in the sandboxes with sound issues. It'll be recreated and fix itself.

madHcCtrl.exe still crashes sandboxed.
To reproduce: Just download the madVR archive, extract it somewhere and start madHcCtrl.exe sandboxed. Works fine outside of the sandbox, inside it crashes.

Windows 10 x64
yes right! it crashes inside
