Dota 2 Error 127 (Old Steam Client Update)[SOLVED]

Hello. This is my second try to post a problem here. so if it would double it I am sorry.
Windows 10 x64
Sandboxie 5.18 x64
Steam 2.10.91.91, Dota2 (latest update)
Windows 10 Defender

Well here is the problem. I have tried to launch Dota2 via Sandboxie but get Error 127 message and advice to check local files a cash in stem menu. I have done if few times but check went successfully, and no errors have been found. Then I have noticed that after each try to launch Dota2 steam is asking to update. That was strange as my Steam was up to date outside of sandbox. I updated if few times but same error appears again and again. Then I have noticed that update which is trying to get installed is from 24th of April 2017 (today is 07.05.2017). I have tried to look for an answer in the web and have found few topic including one on here, but all of them without any solution. I have tried to do every suggested thing (Create new sandbox, set autodelete option for sandbox, reinstall sandboxie and so on) but nothing helped me. At the same time Steam and Dota2 is running with any problem out of the sandbox (in regular Windows environment). What can I do to fix this problem?

Hello!

I'm using trial version of Sandboxie v5.18 x64, Windows 10 v1703 x64 Enterprise and latest Steam/Dota2 game (it's free).

I've just installed new v1703 Windows 10 x64 and cannot run Steam and Dota2 with Sandboxie. Steam starts successfully under Sandboxie, but Dota2 is not. It sends me information about that game files are corrupted. Cannot resolve this problem.

Tried to reinstall Steam/Dota2 and Sandboxie -- no affect. Before Windows/Sandboixe update it were working well.

Guys, please, help me to resolve this issue and i will buy the Sandboxie personal license.

All,

I see the Steam update popup when launching DOTA2. However when I check versions, both my Sandboxed and my host Steam display the same version --> Do you see the same behavior?
As for DOTA2, I am able to reproduce error 127.

If any updates are found we will update this thread.

Thank you for your reply Barb. Just checked both Steam Sanboxed and host and I have the same situation. Both versions are the same.

Version: 1493162727
But still Sandboxed version is asking for an update from April 24, 2017.

Я не полностью решил это проблему следующим образом, запускаешь стим потом переходишь в папку с игрой и запускаешь exe файл Dota 2, если он не захочет открывать exe файл через песок то, сначала запускай exe файл Dota 2, потом запускаешь стим, выходишь из доты и снова запускаешь exe файл. Только потом она может вообще не запуститься.

When i start steam in sandboxie it always tell me to update 24april and when i play dota it gives me error unable to start files missing please help anyone i have same issue with laptop and pc fullly updated windows 10?

right click on sandboxie toubleshoot compatibilty run as win 8 will fix your steam update problem still facing dota 2 error integrity

Whenever i start steam in sandbox it always tell me to update and playing dota gives error files missing please anyone tell me fix i m using windows 10 fully updated cannot go back to previous windows?

Hello Mr.AK47,

Please see the responses above for workarounds/status updates.
Unfortunately, DOTA2 is currently not working with Sandboxie.
We will update this thread if/when a fix is found.

In general, it works if you copy three files from the steams to the sandbox.
C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ dota 2 beta \ game \ dota \ bin \ win64
"Client.dll" "host.dll" "server.dll"
For this you need to run the DotA in the sand, it will close and then copy it to the folder created by sand, after that the startup is fine and the DotA works, sorry for my English, google interpreter ...
