Unable to update

The periodically question about proofing for an update ended since two days with the message about an error because of unable to contact the sandboxie-website.

What's wrong?
My german SB-Version: 5.14, 32 bit. I am contacted from germany with Windows 7 and since years this worked perfectly. And I changed nothing at my PC in the last moth except the periodically Windows-Defender update from Microsoft. But also turn off the Defender has no effect.

If you manually try to update the software, do you still get the same error?

Thank you for answering.

Bur I can told all works well again.
As cause I found a firewall blocking from my antivirus program Eset Smart Security. But it was strange: Since the last worked update proofing for sandboxie I didn't update or changed anything for this program. So why suddenly the firewall act in this way I cant't understand. But making a new rule in the firewall for the update-site of sandboxie and all works perfect like familar in the past.

Could it be that something was change on the side of Sandboxie so that the old firewall-rule for the update-adress couldn't work anymore?

me_s,

I would check your antivirus and see if there are any automatic updates setup.
Can you see when was it last updated? (or a history of updates?).

No automatic update is configured.
And the last virus-database I did short after 5.11.2016 (that's the version of it).

me_s,

It is possible that the issue was a glitch caused by the updates made to the site to allow it to support https .
(The new beta updates via https now http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 59&t=23535).
