Multi-process Firefox 51-Blank pages [Fixed in SBIE 5.17.6.]

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
Hallo Leute! - Kann kein englisch und werde unten mit Google übersetzen.
Habe seit Tagen gleiches Problem.

Hi Guys! - Can not speak English and will translate below with Google.
Have been the same problem for days. Sandboxie 5.16 (64bit) and Firefox 51.0.1 (32bit). I find this impossible and the program makers should take care as soon as I will not change any settings in the programs. By the way, not every user is capable of this. I can not imagine who is the cause of this problem (Firefox or sandboxie). But until the penultimate version of Firefox it worked and so I mean that the manufacturers of Firefox fastest should change something!
Was always satisfied so far. But if nothing changes soon I will change to another browser ...!
Another note Firefox portable apps (64bit) in the latest version does not show these problems with Sandboxie - whichever is the case.

Re: Firefox not opening
Same issue. Win 10 64bit, Defender only antivir, Updated Firefox, updated Sandboxie, Empty box, cleared Firefox cache.
Blank page on start, new tab will show websites which when clicked appear in the address bar but do not load. Do not understand this work around -
xxxxxxxxxxxx
"Have you double checked that e10 is disabled? (Do these steps in a non-sandboxed Firefox, then relaunch it to ensure the changes were applied):
type about:config
accept the risk
set "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" and "browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2" to FALSE
If the issue persists, follow these steps:
Type "about:config"
Accept the risk.
Search for security.sandbox.content.level
Double click and change to 0
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Where do you do this? What and where is E10?
Any assistance appreciated as I recommend this combination in my senior's computer classes

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
Hello volescamper ,
Please launch Firefox outside Sandboxie and type about:config in the address bar
Click "I accept the risk"
At the top , you will see a search bar, use it to type the following (one at a time):
browser.tabs.remote.autostart
browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2
As they show up, one at a time, double click on them so they switch their Value to "false" .
Once both are set to false, relaunch Firefox outside the Sandbox and repeat the process to ensure they have not reverted back to "true".
Once you have confirmed they are both set to "false", close Firefox and launch it Sandboxed.
For more information about e10, please see this link:

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages
I have no suggestions but the same problem. It appeared from one day to another (2 days defore). Maybe a windows 10 pro 64 bit update? It appears with firefox and Cliqz browser, not Opera or Chrome. I did uninstall and install browsers and sandboxie. The pages don't appear. If I use crtl-U (show source) another blank page appears. When I close this Tab the website appears but only the visible part. It is white, when I scroll down. FF 51.0.1 Cliqz 1.11.0 sandboxie 5.16 - 5.17
Beg your pardon! The solution of Barb@Invincea with browser.tabs.remote.autostart = false works for me!

To the attention of the Lady: Barb@Invincea
Kindly let me know, if possible, when they will solve your problem?
Now that is a little bit of time that you drag this situation.

Hello gianpietro,
Once the devs find a solution, it will be posted in the forums (most likely, it will be included in a new beta).
In the meantime, please use the workaround.

Firefox Seitenladefehler
Hallo,
mein Firefox zeigt unter Sandboxie nur "Seitenladefehler" an und lädt keine Internetseite.
Ohne Sandboxie läuft Firefox normal.
Sandboxie schon neu installiert: Version 5.16
Firefox 51.01
Was kann ich tun?

Three problems of running firefox inside Sandboxie
Hello Developers,
I am using Windows 10 64-bit, Sandboxie 5.16 (lifetime licensed), and Firefox 51.0.1 (64-bit). I find that there are three problems of running firefox inside SBIE:
1. When firefox starts inside the sandbox, it fails to load the default start page, as shown in the following screenshot: 2. When I try to visit a website, firefox will show a blank page after page has been loaded, as shown in the following screenshot. Only after I switch to another tab and switch back, the web page will be shown. 3. Even if the web page is shown (after I switch to another tab), it will not be shown completely. As you can see in the following screenshot, a part of the web page becomes a grey area. All these problems exist no matter I force firefox into SBIE, or run it manually inside SBIE with the context menu option.
I have tried to delete the original sandbox and create a new one (with default settings), but this approach does not work.
I am not using any antivirus. The only add-on that I use for firefox is Bitdefender Trafficlight. All these problems persist after I disable this add-on.
Please let me know how to solve this problem. Thank you!
Best regards

Re: Three problems of running firefox inside Sandboxie
You need to turnoff Multiprocess in Firefox to fix the issue. Read this thread.
http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=23902
To disable Multiprocess, open about:config and change preference "browser.tabs.remote.autostart" to false.

Re: Multi-process Firefox 51 - Blank pages

LiLCruz,
Please try the latest beta (and be sure to clear the contents of your Sandbox prior to launching Firefox. Or create a new one):

Firefox Cannot Access Internet Using 4.20~5.16
Hi.
I'm on Windows XP SP3 32bit.
I've been using Sandboxie 3.72 for a few years without any trouble, but I recently decided to update to 5.16.
However, I've just discovered I can no longer access the internet with Firefox 31.6 ESR/ Firefox 51.0.1 (or any other programs) in Sandboxie 5.16. Firefox launches and tabs open but just display white with new tab heading. Clicking on any bookmark and nothing happens.
I'm just using the default Sandboxie settings (so haven't made any changes).
So I ran Sandboxie 3.72 installer again, uninstalling 5.16 in the process and removing settings, and hey presto after installing 3.72 I can access the internet with Firefox in Sandboxie.
So I thought maybe there was a problem with 5.16, so went back and tried some earlier versions - Sandboxie 5.14 & 4.20. After installing, I have the same problem - no internet with Firefox (or any other programs).
I found Sandboxie 3.76 could be downloaded, so I installed that to try. Firefox (and other programs) can access the internet.
So although versions 4.xx & 5.xx install and applications run in it, none can access the internet. Again, I'm just using the default settings after install.
I also tried disabling my firewall (allowing everything internet access), but that didn't help. I didn't think it would anyway as I didn't need to do that with 3.72 and 3.76.
Has anyone had similar problem like this? If so, what is the solution to get internet access.
Thanks.
