Post by Newbeak » Fri Sep 02, 2011 7:42 pm

I am planning on buying a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1,and was wondering how to protect myself while surfing.I have SB for my desktop running Win7.If not SB,is there sandboxing software available for the Android OS? Thanks :?:

Sandboxie only works on Windows with the NT kernel, it won't work on Unix-like OS' with the Linux kernel (such as Android). :P

IMO that would be a great platform to support if done easily. Android is becoming the "Windows" of the cellphone market.

Yeah it might be cool, but it is virtually impossible to do! You'd have to write an entirely new program from scratch that works with the Linux kernel which would be pretty difficult to do. You'd be better off just trying to find a way to use something like BSD jails in Android instead (though you'd have to replace the Linux kernel with BSD kernel to do that). :P

If you really wish you could use Sandboxie on your tablet, then just wait for tablets to come out that ship with Windows 8. :)
