Re: FF 64bit runs inside Sandboxie but not outside??!
Thanks for your sugestion @bo.elam. I have already established that 32bit FF works well (see my link in the original post to the issue details). I am now trying to take advantage of FF's huge improvements in the 64bit version. Basically what I'm hoping to understand is: what could explain the fact t...

Re: FF 64bit runs inside Sandboxie but not outside??!
Just to be clear: I don't think the problem is about Sandboxie. If I uninstall Sandboxie and re-install FF 64bit, the problem remains. I think you guys maybe misunderstood me: FF 64bit works with no problem inside Sandboxie - I am running it right now. It is when I try to run it regularly (outside S...

FF 64bit runs inside Sandboxie but not outside??!
This is a really odd problem, and I don't even think Sandboxie is to blame. I just hope someone will read this and point me in the right direction. My Firefox 56 64bit will crash immediately on start, even before the UI shows up on screen or any network request is attempted. However, if I run it ins...

Re: Adobe Acrobat 11 Protected View fails in Sandbox
Thanks for responding. Sometimes a PDF needs to be opened outside the sandbox, so your advice would leave me exposed in that situation. So this is a WONTFIX?

Adobe Acrobat 11 Protected View fails in Sandbox
Protected View allows untrusted files to be opened in Adobe Acrobat (Adobe Reader as well) with limited functionality. To improve security, I have set all PDF files to open in protected view in options under "Edit >> Preferences >> Security (enhanced) >> Protected View" When I try to open a PDF ins...

Re: 5.19 Beta Available (latest version 5.20 RC)
Just installed 5.20. In Firefox 53.0.3 (Win 7 64bit), printing to PDF file still does not work unless I use the workaround Barb mentioned elsewhere:
Was this issue supposed to be fixed with this release?

Re: [REQUEST YOUR ASSISTANCE]|Ransomware & SBIE
If management's objective is to land corporate accounts by showing SBIE's value, I think you would get great bang-to-buck ratio by posting on YouTube, a ransomware infection from without Sandboxie; show the damage, including damage to networked computers. Then record the same infection within Sandbo...

Re: How to investigate why a program exits immediately
Hey Bo. Thanks for your message. After Craig's suggestion, I was able to get the installer to run, but in testing a few questions came up leading me to write the previous post. Basically I use a Standard User (not Administrator) account and I discovered that with Drop Rights disabled, the installer ...

Security Now podcast unintentionally misleading listeners
This may not be the right forum for this message; if so I apologize. "Security Now" is one of the influential computer security podcasts in the country. Over the last few months, it may have given its listeners an inaccurate impression of how well Sandboxie can protect users. If you care, consider s...

Re: How to investigate why a program exits immediately
> Have you tried it w/ Drop Rights checked? A: This was a really helpful hint. See results below > Maybe this php install requires admin access? A: I don't know. Because I have a Standard User account, every installation asks for admin privileges. In this case, I granted privileges, but PhpStorm ins...

How to investigate why a program exits immediately
Windows 7 x64 Sandboxie 5.10 - Drop Rights unchecked. Using Windows as a Standard User (not Administrator) When I start the PhpStorm installer within the sandbox, it exits immediately without any error message. What can I do to figure out why this happens and whether there is anything I can do to ma...

Thanks for the response. Does what you say apply to both of the issues I've highlighted?

Cisco WebEx file sharing fails
Windows 7 64bit Sandboxie 5.06 Firefox 42 Microsoft Office 2013 2 issues occur when trying to install and use Cisco's WebEx meeting software from within the sandbox. Outside the sandbox, these issues do not occur. Issue 1) Trying to share any PowerPoint file (even a blank single-slide file) fails si...
