[.06] 4.01.05. Taskbar not unhiding with Firefox and Chrome

Post by Andyjm » Thu Apr 11, 2013 2:40 pm

Sandboxie 4.01.05. Windows 8 64bit.
Using Firefox 20 and Google Chrome 26.

When either of the above browsers are maximised, the auto-hidden taskbar will not reappear when moused over.
Taskbar reappears as normal when they are not maximised.

It works correctly with IE10 when maximised.

4.01.05. Taskbar not unhiding with Firefox (and Chrome)

Post by Websafe » Thu Apr 11, 2013 5:53 pm

Hello Andyjm and all,

Similar situation here, Windows XP-home SP-3, (32 bit)
Windows taskbar is set to: “auto hide”, all browser windows set to maximized

The taskbar does not reappear when moused over in following situations:
Sandboxie 4.01.04. or Sandboxie 4.01.05.
Mozilla Firefox 20.01.

The taskbar does reappear when moused over in following situations:
Sandboxie 4.01.04. or Sandboxie 4.01.05.
Opera (webbrowser) 12.15 and / or Internet Explorer 8.

I've just realised that mousing into the corners to bring up Windows 8 options like open apps, start page, settings doesn't work either with the browser maximised.

This started happening in version 4. It´s frustrating to have to be minimizing the browsers, if we want to see a file in taskbar like opens pdf files. The alternative I have used since that problema is browsers with IE, when need to see the open files.

I've started looking into this problem earlier today. It's probably fixable, but I didn't yet get around to finishing work on this. I'll have more to say about this tomorrow.

Hi Tzuk!

I can reproduce ethe problem.

It's drop rights again. If you check this in am administrattive account, you have this situation.

I am sorry, but seems this part of sandboxie (drop rigths) it is not stable or fix enough

Thanks again.

No need for multiple posts. I was able to reproduce on Windows 7, and this will be fixed in the official version 4.02.
