manual save in MS Word [SOLVED]

Post by shmu26 » Thu Mar 15, 2018 4:29 am

When I open a Word file in sandboxed Word, and I edit it, changes are saved to the virtualized location.
But what happens when I do a manual save in Word? Does it get saved to real user space?
If not, can I change the behavior so that a manual save will automatically go to real user space, without any prompts or additional actions on my part? If I can do that, is it a security risk, or is there some issue with it?

No it doesn't. It stays in the container.

Yes.
Sandboxie Control > Right-click on your sandbox, click on Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > File Access > Direct Access > Add Program > winword.exe (or open Select/File and look for it) > Add (set the path or folder you want, I recommend any place on User Space like Desktop folder or sub-folder).
